    Ioannis L. Konstantopoulos is Assistant Professor of International Relations –Economic Diplomacy at the Department of International and European Studies, School of Economic, Business & International Studies, University of Piraeus, Greece.

    He holds a PhD from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (Department of International and European Studies) (2008) and his PhD dissertation topic is “Economic Espionage and International Relations”. In the period 2003-2008 he received “Heraclitus Scholarship”, from the European Union (EU) and the Hellenic Ministry of Education in order to fulfil his PhD. He also received an M.A. in International and European Studies from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Department of International and European Studies (Specialization: International Relations and Strategic Studies) (2001). Moreover, he received a degree of Political Science and International Studies (Specialization: International Studies) from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (Department of Political Science and International Studies) (1996).

    At the Postgraduate level he teaches at the Department of International and European Studies of the University of Piraeus (Theory of International Relations, Strategy in War and Business), at the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the University of Peloponnese (Issues in International Politics), and at the “Postgraduate Programme in International Relations, Strategy and Security” (Intelligence and Security) of Neapolis University Pafos (Cyprus), while he has also taught at the “Postgraduate Programme in International and European Studies” (Strategic Analysis) of the Department of International, European and Area Studies of Panteion University (2009-2012) and at the Postgraduate Programme of Studies (MSc) in “Applied Economics in Defense” (Special Defense Issues), of the Department of Economics of the University of Thessaly (2017-2018). 

    Moreover, he lectures at the Joint Intelligence School of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (2012-2020), the Hellenic Air War College (former Hellenic Air Staff and Command College) (2012-2020), the National Security School of the Hellenic Police Academy (2010-2020), while he has lectured at the Hellenic Supreme Joint War College (2009-2014) and at the Hellenic National Defence College (2009-2011, 2014).
