  • Σύντομο βιογραφικό σημείωμα

    Dr. Irene Mamakou is a senior teaching fellow at the University of Piraeus, Department of International and European Studies, where she has lectured since 2009. She is a graduate (BA) of the University of Athens, Department of English Language and Literature, and of the University of Kent, UK, where she obtained her MA in Applied Language Studies: Computing. She holds a PhD in the field of developing Academic/Research Skills in University Education through a Project-Based Methodology from the University of Athens, Department of Informatics and Telecommunications (Laboratory of Educational & Language Technology).

    She has lectured as a visiting fellow/adjunct lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, UK, the University of Patras, the Athens University of Economics and Business and the University of Peloponnese prior to taking up her permanent posts as a senior teaching fellow - member of the permanent academic staff - first in the Department of Telecommunications Science and Technology at the University of Peloponnese in 2004 and afterwards at her current post. Her teaching, research interests and publications include Academic/Research skills for Political & Social Scientists, Soft power and digital diplomacy, Digital Skills for International Relations, Computer-Aided Instruction, ICT in University Education, Project-based Learning, Digital Methodologies, Digital Cultural Heritage.
