Scholarships

The Master Program in Energy anticipates the provision of scholarships on the basis of academic, but also social criteria. Scholarships are provided from the program resources as well as with the kind support of businesses and institutions which hold leading positions in the field of energy, shipping and the industry in general. In this sense, the program constitutes a bridge between the academic community and the market. In the dynamically developing field of Energy, corporations seek executives with specialized knowledge in the fields of strategy, law and economics and they award distinction and excellence. In this context, at the end of the second semester and before beginning of their thesis, students are awarded scholarships with the kind support of leading companies and institutions based on academic criteria (i.e. the performance of students and their grades during the first two semesters).


dapeepRenewable Energy Sources Operator & Guarantees of Origin (DAPEEP SA). DAPEEP supports the MSc in Energy Strategy, Law & Economics by granting scholarships with merit criteria. is responsible for Renewable Energy markets of Greece’s National Interconnected System (Transmission System and Distribution Network of Mainland and Interconnected Islands). The company also manages the Guarantees of Origin of Electricity from RES and Combined Heat and Power Units (CHP). The National Natural Gas System Operator (DESFA) S.A. (www.desfa.gr) was established on 30th of March 2007, following the provisions of law 3428/2005 on liberalization of the natural gas market as a subsidiary company of DEPA S.A. The sector of the National Natural Gas System (NNGS) was transferred from DEPA S.A. to DESFA S.A. by means of spin-off. National Natural Gas System includes the National Natural Gas Transmission System (pipelines with design pressure above 19 barg) and the LNG terminal station at Revithousa island. With the transfer of the above sector to DESFA S.A., the latter acquired a full and exclusive right to the operation, management, exploitation and development of the NNGS. DESFA is also the owner of NNGS.
